"All that strugglestruggle just to see a grey beach," said Mrs Gale. Then she lookedlooked at her family. "Look at us," she said, "just look at us!" The children lookedlooked at each other, they had nothadn't    had time to in the bush, and they laughedlaughed and laughed.

"We do look awful, do notdon't    we Dad?" said Mia.

"You all look as hot and tiredtired and sore as I feel," Mr Gale said, "and you look filthy,filthy, too. What we all need is a swim to make us a bit cleanercleaner and fresher,fresher, and then we need some lunch."
