The Eagle and the Fox Chapter 2

johnny automatic fox 1 300pxThe cruel eagleeagle took no notice of the poor fox, as she was sure her own children were quite safe from any harm the fox might try to do to them. She spread her wings and carrycarried the cub back to her nest, far out of the reach of its angryangry mother.

The fox, wild with angeranger and fear, rushedrushed to a nearbyby field where, earlyearlier in the day, a shepherdshepherd had lit a fire to warm their meal.

SeizeSeizing a branch in her mouth which was blazeblazing at one end, she carrycarried it back towardstowards the pine tree where the eagle sat.

Immediately,Immediately, the eagle realisedrealised what the fox plannedplanned to do, and becamebecame franticfrantic with fear that her home and family would be destroyed.ed. She screecheded for mercy, beggingbegging the fox to keep awayaway from the tree, and quicklyquickly returnedreturned the cub to its mother, safe and sound.
