The Gale family all began scrapescraping holes in the sand, but they could notcouldn't    reach the bottom.bottom. HoweverHowever deep they went, it was still pink.

"Would you like to bring some home?" asked Mrs Gale. "You could emptyempty out the tea, salt and sugar and fill the space left in the jars with the shells." The children filledfilled a jar each, and then it reallyreally was time to go.

While they were doing that, Mr Gale climbedclimbed the highesthighest rock, and searched fored for an easyeasier way home. "I think we can walk round that bush this time, instead of through it," he calledcalled down, "but it will be much further, and we willwe'll     have to start at once."
